– J.L.K
“Just a note to tell you that the video was a huge success! My mother watched intently, and our relatives all commented on how much they enjoyed it. Not only did everyone comment that it was very well put together, but told us that it was “touching,” “a tear-jerker,” and a “lovely tribute.” Many thanks to you and the staff at EverPresent for your dedication to our project. We are grateful for your help and know that the video will have a long life of its own!”
Custom options for all kinds of Memorials:
Wake and Funeral Slideshows
Wakes are some people’s first chance to pay their respects. Whether you play a memorial video at one depends on your taste and beliefs. But it might be a nice way to set the tone for the event and offer one last glimpse of your loved one’s life.
Reception Features
These tend to be lighter than wake and funeral slideshows, so think about the mood you want to convey. Some funeral homes don’t supply any A/V gear for their ceremonies, yet most banquet halls do. We recommend checking in advance to make sure you have everything you need.
Memorial Videos
Our memorial slideshows are more complex than those that come immediately after someone passes. Because there is more time to pull together materials, they can be much longer and more personal. They can even contain a combination of photos and video footage.
Everything you need for your video slideshow
and mitzvah projects
Our experienced designers strive for prompt service and high-quality work. They have done hundreds of tributes to late spouses, parents, and other loved ones with compassion and dignity. A memorial video might include baby pictures, college snapshots, wedding portraits, birthday photos, and other important memories. We’ll also add non-photo elements, like clips from their favorite song, or quotes that you’ll always hear in their voice. When planning your memorial montage, it’s always good to think about:
- The feeling your memorial should convey
- Timing and appeal to hold your guests’attention
- Which photos and home movies best honor your loved one’s life
- Picking songs that complement the event, not distract from it
Common questions about memorial slideshows
Will you take care of my loved one’s photos?
Absolutely. Photos are all we have left of some people. When scanning your pictures and slides for a funeral slideshow, we’ll keep them in airtight bins for protection. Our experienced technicians gently scan your memories in our Massachusetts lab and convert them to digital files. And when your memorial video is done, we’ll return your original items in the same condition we got them in.
How involved do I have to be?
It’s up to you! There are lots of tough choices to make when someone passes. Our team will design a beautiful memorial slideshow, with or without your input. If you’re free to be more hands-on, we’re happy to follow your directions for the timing and sequence of your slideshow. We can add special effects like pans and custom transitions between images. In addition, we’ll often make recommendations such as removing distracting objects from photos to make your loved one the main focus.
How soon can I get one?
It depends on how complex you want your funeral slideshow to be. We know time is tight and things move quickly in the wake of a loss. You can get a rush order for faster turnaround, but slideshows with more edits and effects naturally take more time. Complex projects are more appropriate for a memorial service than a wake or reception. You’ll need time to view drafts and give feedback while we perfect the final product. Because every memorial video is different, we have all of our clients work with a personal consultant who will be your guide throughout your project.
How long should a funeral slideshow be?
This entirely depends on the circumstances and your preferences. If you’re intending for your memorial video to play silently during a service or reception, it can be as long as you need it to be to include all the photos you want to share. Well-wishers will see it as they circulate. If your memorial video is the feature of a service and includes music, audio or video we always recommend keeping them shorter rather than longer to hold your guests attention, we generally recommend under 10 minutes.
