Artificial intelligence is changing how aging media can be restored, but not everything that can be automated should be. We use AI when it genuinely improves clarity or stability, never when it compromises authenticity, and always with human oversight.
At EverPresent, we believe preservation requires restraint. These are not disposable files or creative reinterpretations. They are records of real people, real voices, and real moments in time. Our responsibility is not only to modernize them, but to protect them.

Our use of AI is guided by three priorities: quality, restraint, and human oversight.
EverPresent uses AI when it can improve the quality of our product, or when it can reduce the cost of our services without compromising quality. Every EverPresent process is a hybrid of a human element and technology and all AI work is quality checked by a human being. We are in the business of preserving history while getting the very best out of aging material, which means using AI to rehabilitate old content, but not overusing AI to “airbrush” the past. Finally, when you are conversing with EverPresent via phone, email or text, you are always interacting with a real person.

The table below outlines how artificial intelligence may be applied across different analog media formats, always selectively, always with human review, and never in ways that alter or fabricate original content.
