Memory cards can provide a false sense of security. At EverPresent we’ve collected all of the random equipment required to rescue files of all shapes of memory cards, SD cards, USB drives and older digital cameras with internal hard drives. Memory cards seem ubiquitous nowadays but they’re a fairly new tool for storing digital images. There have been many brands that competed to be THE household name since they first appeared in 1994. Memory Stick, CompactFlash, SmartMedia, and Multi-Media Cards are all brand names that were early pioneers but it’s now SD or Secure Digital cards, that are the most common.
